In reading, we emphasize phonics, comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary, ensuring that students become confident, independent readers. For math, we tailor lessons to reinforce foundational concepts, promote problem-solving, and build fluency in key skills.

Our goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive and achieve academic success at their own pace

Empowering Girls Book Club

In this book club, girls aged 8 to 12 embark on a journey through the pages of literature. Guided by the principle that knowledge is power, we aim to ignite a passion for reading while fostering a deep sense of empowerment and confidence. Through engaging discussions, creative activities, and meaningful connections, participants explore themes of courage, resilience, and self-discovery. Our supportive environment encourages girls to share their perspectives, develop critical thinking skills, and celebrate their unique voices. Together, we’re not just reading books—we’re building a community of empowered young readers ready to make a difference.

“My son was diagnosed with dyslexia at end of 5th grade and we knew we had to get him extra support for him not to fall behind. We did some research and found a tutor however my son never really connected with this tutor. So extremely happy that we found Emily at Clayton Learning Lab! My son instantly connected with her and it is no longer a struggle for him to attend tutoring sessions. I asked my sone to describe Emily in two words and his response was helpful and considerate. Emily connects with my son and keeps him engaged and makes learning fun. It's not easy to keep a 13 year old boy engaged and it’s amazing to see him enjoy his time at Clayton Learning Lab. The progress he has made with Emily is amazing and I am so grateful to have her experience and knowledge.”
